Phoktey Dara is one of the quieter viewpoints of the eastern Himalaya. The trail winds through forest and mountain villages, opening slowly to a panorama of Kanchenjunga and the surrounding ranges.

It is a short, unhurried journey that keeps its focus on light, ridges and village life, well away from the busier trekking routes.

NJP → Pedong → Sillery Gaon

Drive from NJP through Pedong to Sillery Gaon and settle in for the first evening.
