Sandakphu is the highest trekking point in West Bengal, and few walks in the eastern Himalaya open up so much sky in so few days. The trail follows the India–Nepal border along the Singalila ridge, crossing small mountain villages, tea estates and old forest tracks.

On clear mornings, four of the world's five highest peaks stand together on the horizon. Kanchenjunga sits closest, with Everest, Lhotse and Makalu drawn in behind. Between the viewpoints, the journey is slower and more human, shaped by homestays, hot local meals and long ridge walks under changing light.
