The route we operate, day by day.

Day 0

Overnight travel to NJP

Travel overnight to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.

Day 1

NJP → Gangtok & Enchey monastery

Arrive at NJP in the morning and transfer to Gangtok. Travel time is approximately 5 to 6 hours. After checking into your accommodation, begin the journey with a visit to Enchey Monastery. Learn about Buddhist traditions, monastery life and the cultural history of Sikkim before returning for dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Rumtek monastery & Sikkimese food

Visit Rumtek Monastery, one of Sikkim's most significant Buddhist institutions. Explore its architecture, artwork and history while learning about the role monasteries continue to play in local communities. In the afternoon, enjoy a local food experience introducing regional Himalayan flavours and culinary traditions. Overnight stay.

Day 3

Monastery circuit & heritage day

Continue the monastery circuit with visits to another historic monastery, depending on the itinerary. Spend the day exploring Buddhist heritage, traditional architecture and local cultural stories. If available, participate in an informal interaction session to better understand everyday life within the monastery community. Return to the accommodation for an evening reflection session.

Farewell → NJP
