Lava–Neora Valley birding & photography experience is designed around the biodiversity of the Eastern Himalayan forests.
Rather than covering numerous tourist attractions, this journey focuses on spending meaningful time in forest habitats to observe birds, improve photography skills and better understand the ecosystems that make Neora Valley one of North Bengal's richest biodiversity hotspots.
The experience combines guided birding, forest walks, landscape photography and nature interpretation into a relaxed outdoor journey.
Travel overnight to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.
Arrive at NJP in the morning and transfer to Lava across approximately 4 to 5 hours. After check-in, begin with an orientation before heading out for a short forest-edge walk and introductory photography session. In the evening, visit a nearby viewpoint for sunset landscape photography before returning for dinner. Overnight stay.
Begin early with a guided birding walk through nearby forest trails. Learn basic bird identification techniques while photographing species in their natural habitat. After breakfast, continue with a forest photography session focusing on landscapes, macro subjects and composition. End the day with sunset photography followed by an informal review and discussion session. Overnight stay.
Spend the morning exploring the Neora Valley ecosystem through guided habitat walks and bird photography. During the afternoon, continue with landscape photography and nature exploration around Lava and nearby forest areas. Conclude the evening with a photography discussion session before dinner. Overnight stay.
Enjoy one final early morning birding walk. After breakfast, depart for NJP with a travel time of approximately 4 to 5 hours. The journey concludes at NJP.
