Singalila birding & mountain photography experience explores one of the most spectacular high-altitude ecosystems in the Eastern Himalayas.
Designed around slow exploration rather than sightseeing, the journey combines Himalayan birdlife, rhododendron forests, panoramic mountain viewpoints and immersive photography experiences.
Travellers spend time walking secluded forest trails, observing birds in their natural habitat and photographing ever-changing Himalayan landscapes from sunrise through sunset.

The Untrails itinerary
The route we operate, day by day.
Day 1
NJP → Manebhanjan → Tumling
Arrive at NJP in the morning and transfer via Manebhanjan to the Tumling region across approximately 5 to 6 hours. After check-in, enjoy a relaxed forest-edge walk and your first mountain landscape photography session. End the day at a nearby viewpoint for sunset before returning for dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 2
Sunrise birding and rhododendron forests
Begin before sunrise with a guided birding walk through the forests of the Singalila region. Observe Himalayan bird species while learning about their habitats and photographing them responsibly. After breakfast, continue exploring rhododendron forests and mountain trails with opportunities for landscape and nature photography. Spend the evening photographing changing light across the Himalayan ridgelines.

Day 3
Himalayan sunrise and additional habitats
Start the day with a sunrise photography session from a Himalayan viewpoint. Following breakfast, continue with another guided birding walk before spending the afternoon exploring additional forest habitats and photographing mountain landscapes. Conclude the journey with a final sunset photography session.

Day 4
Final birding walk → NJP
